Domino’s Makes Ordering Pizza Easy With Text To Order

Domino’s Pizza has always been about convenience and allowing people to text to order is one of many technological innovations that has put Domino’s in the restaurant industry spotlight.

Most of us know Domino’s delivers pizza directly to your door, in a short amount of time and at late hours of the night. The company has also been at the forefront of  developing innovative ways to deliver convenience to its customers. Creating an “easy order” online and checking on the status for your pizza through their Pizza Tracker are just a few of the innovations that helped Domino’s sales surge.

In addition to offering their mobile app or responsive website to order, Dominos also makes it easy to text to order. Pizza-hungry customers simply need to text a pizza emoji or the word EASY ORDER to Domino’s short code which spells out DPIZZA. Their text ordering system is then able to start the “easy order” you saved on their site and have it delivered to your door right away.

As quoted in Tech Times, Patrick Doyle, CEO of Domino’s said: “There are an estimated eight trillion texts sent every year worldwide. With so many people using their devices to communicate in this way, it made sense to allow our customers the chance to order pizza that way, too.”
